K.O.O.L.L. - "Keeping Obesity Out of Life's Loop"
OBJECTIVES:
 
To introduce the importance of developing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle and educate children on why it’s important be healthy. 
 
To teach students the importance of good nutrition and how to determine correct serving sizes. 
 
 
To teach students how to analyze nutritional information found on packages and design their own healthy meals.
 
 
 Partner with other health advocates and integrate lessons that involve students working collaboratively and demonstrating knowledge of different body systems, their functions, and how to keep them working properly. 
 
 
GOALS
 
Help children who are overweight achieve a healthy weight through fun-filled physical activities and small dietary changes.
 
Help the State of Georgia and all other states lower the unnecessary cost of healthcare by educating parents on how to help children maintain a healthy weight throughout the course of their growing years through nutrition lessons that encourage less sweet consumption.
 
Help parents set a healthy example by teaching them how to move with their kids.
 
Help children develop healthy eating habits at an early age, and teach them that good health depends on the right balance between what they eat and how much they move.
 
Provide outlets that promote stimulating physical activity in children and adults of all ages.
 
Attract sponsors who are willing to aid in the cost of promoting obesity awareness by providing monetary donations for scholarships and other types of donations that would go towards increased efforts of preventative measures of obesity.
 
Implement a continual tradition in cities that promotes dedicating a week out of each year towards obesity awareness.
